laboratory equipment

Elementus

For Elementus, a supplier of laboratory equipment, furniture and analytical solutions in Latvia and the Baltics, we developed a website that brings a broad technical offering together in one clear structure. The website needed to present analytical instruments, laboratory furniture, glassware, reagents and services in a way specialists can navigate quickly. We therefore combined a detailed product catalogue with configurators for fume hoods and laboratory tables that turn interest into a precise quotation request. We sought a balance between a calm, scientific presentation, accurate technical information and a short path from a product page to a conversation with the Elementus team.

The brief

Elementus has been equipping laboratories since 2013. Its customers work in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, research, industry, environmental science and education, and they rarely buy on impulse. A laboratory manager compares instrument types, manufacturers and specifications, and often needs furniture and equipment planned together for a specific room. The website needed to reflect this breadth and the company's expertise while helping each visitor reach the right category and request an offer.

We developed the public website and the content management behind it. The public side presents the company, its expert, partner manufacturers, news and services such as laboratory design and planning, repair and maintenance. The product catalogue is organised into analytical equipment, laboratory equipment, laboratory furniture, glassware and labware by brand, thermal control, reagents and consumables. On the company side, the team can update pages, categories and news in every language without developer involvement.

It was important to treat the website as a sales tool for a technical audience. Many furniture orders depend on dimensions, utilities and the chemicals in use, so a generic contact form would only start a long exchange of emails. We therefore designed configurators that collect these parameters at the first step, so the team can respond with a tailored quotation within one day.

What we delivered

In the visual approach, we sought a balance between scientific precision and an approachable tone. A deep navy base, mint turquoise and fresh green accents and a clean white background establish the colour language of the brand. Images of modern laboratories show the context in which the equipment is used, while a consistent structure of headings, cards and calls to action keeps the focus on the information specialists need.

In the catalogue, the structure itself carries meaning. Analytical equipment is divided by method, from atomic absorption, ICP-MS and ICP-OES to TOC, UV-VIS and mercury analysers, while general equipment, furniture and glassware have their own clearly named sections. Glassware is grouped by manufacturer, including Bochem, Brand, Bürkle, DWK and Vitlab. This allows a visitor to move from a broad need to a specific category in a few steps.

The next step is a quotation request. The fume hood configurator lets a visitor choose width, ceiling height, sockets, water supply, reagent storage and the nature of the reagents and experiments. The laboratory table configurator covers construction, width, working height, depth, cabinets and the intended application. Both send a complete specification to the Elementus team, who reply with a quotation within one day.

  • We developed the website design and a content structure for Latvian, English and German. Each language version has its own addresses, titles and navigation, so the site serves both local and international customers.
  • We built a product catalogue covering analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, laboratory furniture, glassware by brand, thermal control, reagents and consumables. Clear category pages help specialists compare options before making contact.
  • We created a fume hood configurator and a laboratory table configurator. Visitors define the key technical parameters themselves, and the team receives a ready specification for a quotation.
  • We developed service pages for laboratory design and planning, repair and maintenance, along with sections for the company's expert, partner manufacturers and news. These show that Elementus supports a laboratory beyond the moment of purchase.
  • We optimised the website for fast loading on mobile devices, with a lightweight first screen, caching and modern image formats. Visitors see the company's message immediately, even on slower connections.
  • We provided a technical SEO foundation with a clear heading structure, a multilingual sitemap, language alternates and branded social sharing previews. Cookie consent is connected to analytics, so visitor preferences are respected from the first visit.

Result

Elementus gained a website that presents a wide technical range as one coherent offering and turns specialist interest into concrete enquiries. Laboratory managers can explore instruments by analytical method, find furniture and consumables, learn about planning and maintenance services, and submit a detailed request through the configurators.

The team receives enquiries that already contain the information needed for a quotation and can keep content current in three languages. The design's value lies in giving a complex, technical catalogue a calm and consistent identity, where clear structure and fast access to information support every step towards a new laboratory.
