The brief
Patients choose a clinic carefully, especially for sensitive conditions such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids or pelvic organ prolapse. The Vītola klīnika website explains conditions, treatment methods, services, specialists and prices in Latvian, English and Russian, and leads patients to book a visit. A website like this is never finished: new services, specialists, news and campaigns appear regularly, and each change has to fit the existing structure and design.
The clinic needed a partner who could take care of this continuous work. Some pages had to become clearer and more useful for patients: the home page needed to lead to the main conditions faster, the contacts page needed to explain how to reach the clinic, and booking a visit needed to be possible from any page. At the same time, the clinic was growing its team and had no place on the website to publish vacancies and receive applications.
It was important that every improvement remained in the clinic's hands. The team updates specialists, services, news and vacancies on its own, so each new section had to be built as editable content in the admin panel rather than fixed code. Alongside development, we assist the clinic's staff when they work with content or face technical questions.
What we delivered
In all of our work, we keep to the clinic's established visual language. Deep teal conveys medical trust and calm, soft lavender adds warmth and highlights active elements, and generous white space keeps medical information readable. New sections follow the same typography, colours and component style, so that every addition feels like a natural part of the website.
The home page was reworked almost completely around the questions patients bring. Highlighted blocks address endometriosis, uterine fibroids, polyp removal, intimate health, hernia and gallstone surgery, and courses for future parents, each listing typical symptoms and leading to a detailed page. Condition tiles, the clinic's values, the latest news and patient testimonials follow. On the specialists page, a filter by specialty, from gynaecologists and surgeons to paediatricians, radiologists and psychologists, helps patients find the right doctor, and each profile offers a direct booking button.
The next step for a patient is a visit, and we made it available from anywhere on the website. The appointment window brings together a phone call, WhatsApp, online booking through piearsta.lv and a request form protected by reCAPTCHA. It also guides patients with a diagnosis from another clinic to a pre-operative consultation. The contacts page then helps them arrive: an interactive map with map, entrance and building views, directions by car or public transport, parking, electric vehicle charging and bicycle spaces, and accessibility information.
- We created an appointment request window that opens from the main menu and booking buttons across the website. Patients can call, write on WhatsApp, book through piearsta.lv or send a request form, all in one place.
- We reworked the home page almost completely, with highlighted blocks for key conditions and services, condition tiles, news and testimonials. Every block is managed in the admin panel, so the clinic can change its focus as campaigns and services change.
- We added a dynamic filter to the specialists page that sorts doctors by specialty. Specialties and doctor profiles are managed in the admin panel, and the filter updates automatically when the team changes them.
- We developed the contacts page with an interactive map showing the building and its entrance, together with transport, parking and accessibility details. Patients know where to go and how to arrive before their first visit.
- We redesigned the footer with opening hours, address, contacts, social media, links to careers and policies, and the logos of partner insurers and organisations. Patients can quickly see which insurers the clinic works with.
- We developed a careers system from scratch, with a careers page, vacancy listings and an application form with CV upload. Applications are linked to each vacancy and reach the clinic's team directly through the website.
- Technologies: WordPress, Oxygen Builder, TranslatePress, Google Maps, reCAPTCHA
Result
Vītola klīnika gained a website that leads patients more directly from their concern to a specialist and a booked visit, and a recruitment channel it did not have before. Patients can find information about their condition on the home page, choose a doctor by specialty, request a visit in the way that suits them and plan their arrival. Candidates can view current vacancies and apply with their CV in a few minutes.
The clinic's team manages all of these sections through the WordPress admin panel, from home page blocks and specialists to vacancies, and can rely on ongoing development and technical support. Each improvement respects the clinic's identity, so the website presents the clinic consistently while it grows with new services, specialists and opportunities.
