Sanluk

For Sanluk, a manufacturer of access hatches, we developed a new online store for the Baltic market and connected it with the company's international store. The Baltic platform serves Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in four languages, while sanluk.com continues to sell across Europe and the United Kingdom in twelve languages with prices in euros and pounds. The new site needed to present a technical product range clearly, take payment online and give the team a single place to manage orders, content and customers. We sought a balance between a calm, recognisable presentation of the products, precise technical detail and practical tools for the people who run the shop every day.

The brief

Sanluk manufactures and sells wall, floor, ceiling, loft and roof hatches, as well as rectangular manhole covers. Its customers range from private homeowners renovating a bathroom to builders and installers who order regularly and need exact dimensions, load classes and finishing options. The established international store at sanluk.com already reached customers across Europe, but the Baltic markets needed a faster, more local experience with their own languages, delivery options and payment methods.

We built a new store that runs sanluk.lv in Latvian and Russian, sanluk.lt in Lithuanian and sanluk.ee in Estonian from one shared catalogue. The product range was carried over from the international store, so customers find the same hatches, sizes and descriptions in both places. Behind the public site, we created an administration panel where the team manages products and variants, categories and frequently asked questions, orders, returns, customers, blog posts, banners and site texts.

The platform was designed to be run by a small team without technical help. Orders, refunds, newsletter campaigns and customer questions are handled in the same panel, while the dashboard shows sales, recent orders and where visitors come from. The Baltic sites recognise the visitor's country and suggest the store that serves their market, including sanluk.com for customers outside the Baltics, so nobody is left on a shop that cannot deliver to them.

What we delivered

We kept the visual identity that customers already know from the international store and gave it a cleaner, more spacious form. Warm orange marks the main actions and the catalogue, green is used for availability and confirmation, and a deep navy footer anchors each page. The result feels lighter on the Baltic sites while remaining clearly the same brand.

The catalogue is the core of the project. Each hatch is offered in many sizes and versions, so we organised products into variants that customers can switch between on one page, with filters, side-by-side comparison and a wishlist. Product pages show dimensions, materials, attached documents and stock status, and customers can ask a question about a specific product or subscribe to a notice when an item is back in stock. These details matter because the right hatch depends on the opening size, the floor or wall finish and where it will be installed.

From the catalogue, the path to purchase is short. Customers pay in advance by card through Stripe or by PayPal, choose collection from the Riga warehouse or courier delivery, and receive a confirmation email and a PDF invoice. Business customers can enter their company and VAT details, which are checked against the official registers, and the team receives each new order, question and return request in the administration panel.

  • We developed a multilingual store for sanluk.lv, sanluk.lt and sanluk.ee from one codebase and one catalogue. Each domain shows its own languages and country details, and visitors from other countries are pointed to the international store at sanluk.com.
  • We built a product catalogue with variants, filters, comparison and a wishlist. Customers can move between sizes and versions of the same hatch without losing their place.
  • We connected online payment through Stripe and PayPal with delivery options for Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Postal codes and company registration numbers are validated at checkout, and VAT numbers are checked through the EU VIES service.
  • We created an administration panel for products, orders, returns, customers, blog posts, banners and site content. The team can process refunds, manage customer groups with quantity pricing and send newsletter campaigns from the same place.
  • We provided product feeds for the leading Baltic price comparison sites, including Salidzini.lv, Kurpirkt.lv, Kainos.lt and Hinnavaatlus.ee. Prices and availability in the feeds come directly from the store's catalogue.
  • We built blog, portfolio and FAQ sections in all four languages. Buying guides, installation advice and completed projects help customers choose the right hatch before they contact the team.

Result

Sanluk now has a dedicated store for each Baltic country alongside its international shop, managed from one administration panel with a single catalogue. The team can keep prices, stock and content up to date in four languages, handle orders and returns in one workflow, and reach new customers through price comparison sites without maintaining separate product lists.

Visitors can find the right hatch by type and size, compare options, read guides and pay online in a few steps, whether they are a homeowner or a company ordering for a project. The familiar orange and green identity ties the Baltic sites to sanluk.com, while the shared catalogue ensures that what customers see on the page always matches what the team has in stock.
