electrical and security systems

Kulmen

For KULMEN, we combined a brand refresh with a website, online shop and tools for the company's daily work. We wanted a consistent visual identity to help visitors understand the offering, with each function leading to a clear action: requesting a service, estimating costs or making a purchase. Alongside the logo and design, we therefore developed a calculator and an administration panel where the team can continue working with enquiries, orders, estimates and invoices.

The brief

KULMEN works in electrical installation and security systems, where customers need to understand both the company's expertise and the service itself before getting in touch. At the same time, the website must serve people who already know which product they want to buy. These are two different reasons for visiting, and the project's brief was to bring them together in one clear environment.

We approached the work as a connected solution: a logo and visual identity refresh, a multilingual website, an online shop, a service cost calculator and an administration panel. Each element has its own role, but visitors should experience them as parts of the same company's offering.

What happens after a button is pressed mattered just as much. Completing a contact form or preparing an estimate is the beginning of the customer journey. On the company side, staff need to find the enquiry, understand its contents, assign responsibility and continue the conversation. We therefore considered the public-facing design together with enquiry handling, rather than as a separate project stage.

What we delivered

The logo refresh provided the foundation for a consistent visual language. The aim was to make the brand recognisable in different settings: in the website header, alongside service descriptions and throughout the product offering. A green accent and dark areas establish its character, while light backgrounds give information room. The logo is the starting point, but text rhythm, spacing and the emphasis placed on actions also shape the overall impression.

We sought a balance between the content of a technical industry and a page that is easy to understand. When everything receives equal emphasis, visitors find it harder to know where to look first. The design therefore aimed to help them explore a service in sequence, find the information they need and choose their next step. In the shop, the catalogue and filters serve a similar purpose: they help people reach a specific product while maintaining the wider brand presentation.

The calculator connects initial interest with a more specific conversation. Customers can prepare a cost estimate and give the company information about their needs. This gives both sides a shared starting point for further discussion, and the team an enquiry to work with in the administration panel.

  • We refreshed the logo and visual identity so the company's website and online shop create a consistent impression. We connected the brand presentation across service, product and contact sections.
  • We developed the website in Latvian, English and Russian. Service descriptions and other content can be managed through the administration panel, allowing the company to keep its offering up to date.
  • We built an online shop with a product catalogue, filters, variants and a cart. Order management connects the customer's purchase with its subsequent processing by the company.
  • We developed a service cost calculator and saved enquiries. Generating estimates and invoices in PDF and Excel formats adds the documents needed to support this process.
  • We brought contact form and calculator enquiries into a CRM workflow. Statuses, notes and assigned staff help organise work on each incoming enquiry.
  • We created a Filament administration panel for managing content and company processes. Metadata, localised URLs and a sitemap form the technical SEO foundations.

Result

KULMEN gained a connected digital environment in which the company's identity, service presentation, product sales and enquiry handling support one another. Visitors can begin with their own needs: exploring a service, choosing a product or preparing an initial estimate.

For the team, the project's value lies in the connection between these actions and the administration panel. Incoming enquiries and orders can be managed alongside content and documents. In this project, balancing design and functionality means that the company's visual identity helps attract attention, while the system's structure enables the team to take that interest further.
